With even minimal data sets chosen, the software sometimes froze. I use an iPhone 3Gs on OS4 however I found with many data sets chosen, the software slowed down considerably. With that in mind, here are some gripes:ġ) Slowdowns, crashes and freezes. This kind of software at this price needs to be useful for both the novice as well as the expert, as well as accessible and it is not. I think the feature sets require some attention and some innovation. Instead, it has been ported with minimal effort and a minimal real attention to usefulness for an iPhone user than what it should be. While I am sure that the developer/creator has much faith in this product, I do not feel it has been adequately catered for an iPhone. I was hesitant for a while because of the price, but after not being able to find better software, I went ahead and bought Kairon. Having used the desktop software, I was quite pleased to see Kairon available on the iPhone. The chartwheel and the aspectgrid can be scaled, colors can be stored in setting objects, so you can switch your look and feel with your moods. Retograde objects are (optionally) drawn in a separate color. Included is also the medieval square chart and the two basic vedic square charts. There are two Zodiacs, one with twelve equal signs, the other with those twelve equal signs surrounded by 13 differently sized signs which reflects the actual sky at night. You can cast your charts from the years 1200 - 2399 for all the above objects. and more, including Eris, Witte's planets and many asteroids.
